Prenatal & Pediatric Care

Pregnancy and childhood are times of rapid change in the body. As posture, growth, and biomechanics shift, additional stress can be placed on the spine and pelvis. At Bayshore Chiropractic and Wellness, we provide gentle, safe, and specialized care to support both moms and little ones—helping the body adapt, move well, and function at its best.

Prenatal Care

Pregnancy brings incredible changes, but it can also come with discomfort as the body adapts to a growing baby. Chiropractic care during pregnancy focuses on reducing pain, improving pelvic alignment, and supporting a healthier, more comfortable pregnancy and delivery.

Common Concerns We Address:

  • Pregnancy-Related Low Back & Hip Pain

  • Pelvic Pain & Dysfunction (including SI joint pain and instability)

  • Round Ligament Pain

  • Sciatica & Nerve Pain

  • Postural Changes & Mid-Back Tension

Specialized Prenatal Focus:

  • Pelvic Floor Support – Helping balance surrounding muscles and reduce strain on the pelvis

  • Optimal Fetal Positioning – Gentle techniques (including Webster Technique) to support proper alignment, which may help in cases like breech positioning

  • Improved Mobility & Comfort – Making daily movement, sleep, and activity easier

Our goal is to help moms feel more comfortable, move with ease, and prepare the body for a smoother labor and delivery.

Pediatric & Infant Care

From birth through childhood, the body is constantly growing and developing. Even the birth process itself—especially if prolonged or assisted—can place stress on a baby’s spine and nervous system. Pediatric chiropractic care uses extremely gentle, specific techniques to support proper development and overall function.

Common Concerns We Address:

  • Torticollis (tight neck muscles)

  • Head Preference & Flat Spots (Plagiocephaly)

  • Feeding & Latching Difficulties

  • Colic & Excessive Crying

  • Reflux & Digestive Discomfort

  • Sleep Disturbances

Additional Pediatric Support:

  • Tongue Tie & Oral Function – Supporting babies before and after frenectomies to improve feeding and mobility

  • Developmental Milestones – Encouraging proper movement patterns as babies grow, roll, crawl, and walk

  • Posture & Growing Pains (in older kids)

Care is always tailored to the child’s age, size, and needs, using light pressure and no forceful movements.
